“Not for human consumption”. The government won’t let us sell butter for you to put in your mouth, but butter is also an excellent moisturizer for your skin. So you should think of this as “body butter” or lip balm. But if you happen to lick your lips, that shouldn’t kill you. 😉
RAW BUTTER SOURS QUICKLY! So generally, we will freeze butter within 24 hours of making it to preserve its freshness. Do NOT store the butter on the counter. It needs to be refrigerated and if you plan on using it as lip balm and frequently “licking your lips”, we recommend you use it up WITHIN 5-7 DAYS of thawing it.
Lightly salted for preservation, or Unsalted: $16 for a 1/2 lb tub.
FYI: This price is less than it would cost you to buy cream and churn it yourself. We only sell butter when we have a significant excess of milk–and time to make it, which is even more unusual We recommend you stock up and freeze it if you want to have butter year-round.
